
Ori Shimony is a Fellow at the Ethereum Foundation, where he researches underexplored use cases in the Ethereum ecosystem. He is also the curator of the Mechanism Library, a resource dedicated to improving the design of onchain systems through better mechanism design.
Previously, Ori worked on developing onchain agents and served as a Venture Partner at Portal Ventures. He is a co-founder of dOrg, the first service DAO and the first DAO to receive a legal wrapper. Ori also coauthored the DAO Model Law, which has since been enacted in multiple jurisdictions, providing legal recognition and clarity for decentralized organizations.
Active in the crypto space since 2015, Ori has consistently focused on extending the principles of disintermediation into new domains. His current interests lie in the frontiers of decentralized commerce (DeCom), credit systems (CoFi), and government services—areas where blockchain-based innovation has the potential to radically transform legacy infrastructure.
