Impact Stream

Impact Stream

Impact Stream introduces a new model for capital allocation: one that flows continuously, not just in bursts. Rather than rely on static funding rounds or delayed retroactive rewards, this mechanism enables real-time, trust-based funding of ongoing work.

The core idea is simple: contributors receive a stream of funding as long as they continue to create value. That value can be measured through a variety of inputs—community feedback, GitHub contributions, project milestones, or subjective reviews from trusted stewards. When impact is visible and consistent, the stream flows. If momentum slows or trust erodes, the stream can pause or stop.

Impact Stream moves funding from transactional to relational. It’s not just about output—it’s about ongoing contribution, trust, and accountability.

This mechanism is especially powerful for:

  • Long-term contributors in DAOs
  • Public goods builders needing sustainability
  • Civic stewards and ecosystem coordinators
  • Projects that operate in uncertain or emergent contexts

When built on top of Allo Protocol, Impact Stream becomes programmable and modular: communities can set criteria, manage stewards, and tune how signals affect flow rates.
